Our clothing is like our music .... smooth, warm,
comfortable and desirable.
History
Clevedon is rich in early European Settler history,
and site where the Woolshed stands today was the
original site of the Wairoa Hotel in the late
1800's, until it burnt down in 1909.
The John Paton family bought the property before
World War 1, and built the 'Empire' boarding house
which was apparently going to be a hotel, but
just at the time of rebuilding there was a reduction
in licences throughout the country, and the 'Empire'
became a boarding house.
It operated in this capacity until the 1950's.
These buildings were demolished in the 1970's
and what is now the Clevedon Woolshed was built.
